About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Associate/Senior Associate with 4-8 years PQE to join the Real Estate Residential department in their London office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the role of valuations, insurance, lender-controlled accounts, and other key aspects of real estate financing transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence on properties, including reviewing title, searches, CPSE, and other standard enquiries.
  • Run CP checklists and Mortgagee Requisition Lists.
  • Prepare and submit reports to lenders in a City of London format.
  • Agree on completion undertakings.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of banking and finance transactional work, including loan agreements, security documents, and conditions precedent.
  • Ability to draft, produce, and review ancillary documents in finance transactions, such as board and shareholder resolutions, officer certificates, notices of assignment, and deliverables under security documents.
  • Experience with signing and closing procedures, including signing requirements and corporate searches.
  • Awareness and exercise of financial management skills.
  • Good business development and marketing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience of coordinating with local counsel in different jurisdictions is an added bonus.
