We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Clinical Psychologist specializing in Gastroenterology to enhance our clinical team.

As a vital member of the multidisciplinary team within the Gastroenterology Service, you will oversee a clinical caseload while collaborating closely with the Consultant Psychologist to ensure effective psychological service delivery.

The successful candidate will integrate into our dynamic and expanding Clinical Health Psychology Service, which encompasses various specialties including ICU, Haematology, Cancer, Pain Management, ME/CFS, Diabetes, Bariatrics, and more.

This role is a collaborative effort between Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust and Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert advice and consultation regarding patients' psychological care to other clinical team members.
  2. Deliver both direct and indirect psychological interventions to patients with gastrointestinal conditions, including inpatient care and co-facilitating group courses.
  3. Lead initiatives on service delivery, planning, and care pathways.

Essential Qualifications:
  1. Doctoral degree in clinical or counselling psychology.
  2. Experience in specialized assessment and treatment of adults in both inpatient and community settings.
  3. Relevant experience in managing gastrointestinal conditions.
  4. Background in collaborating with clinical and management teams for service enhancement.
  5. HCPC registration.
