Project Values:

Project values range from £500,000 to £10 million, all executed as the primary contractor. The company possesses robust self-delivery capabilities, supported by selected subcontractors.


Work Arrangement:

This position involves a combination of office, home, and site-based work. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to manage their workload effectively to meet the role's deliverables. Most projects are located within a one-hour radius of Hull, although occasional travel may be necessary.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Cost Value Reports (CVRs) and financial reports
  • Providing strategic advice and support to the commercial team
  • Commercial management of projects throughout all phases
  • Procurement of subcontractors
  • Contributing to value engineering initiatives
  • Managing early warnings, contract modifications, and compensation events
  • Project forecasting
  • Final account agreements
  • Conducting site visits for information gathering

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Lead Cost Estimator within a civil engineering main contractor
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts, specifically NEC3 or NEC4
  • Relevant vocational qualifications or degree
  • Possession of a valid CSCS card

Compensation Package:

The role offers a competitive salary of up to £65,000 (dependent on experience) along with an attractive benefits package, including a vehicle or allowance, annual bonus, pension scheme, 25 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays, fuel allowance, and more.
