Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Sous Chef to join our esteemed culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Location:
Lymington, UK

Compensation:
Salary: £40,000 per annum plus tips, with a 12% gratuity shared among staff.

Work Schedule:
1. Straight Shifts – Typically from 11am to around 9-10pm.
2. Ideal for non-drivers with accessible public transport options.
3. No Split Shifts.
4. Flexibility required to work 5 out of 7 days, including bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and staff coordination.
  • Ensure food production aligns with high standards and adheres to recipes.

  • Mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques and best practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in supply procurement.
  • Manage kitchen activities in the Head Chef's absence.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a culinary role, ideally as a Senior Sous Chef or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of food production methods and culinary terminology.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
