Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Procurement Officer to join our Procurement team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, developing and implementing procurement strategies, and providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Contract Management: Manage procurement activities, including tendering, contract management, and negotiation, to ensure compliance with public sector procurement processes.
- Category Expertise: Develop and maintain category expertise, including knowledge of market trends, suppliers, and procurement best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders, including departmental managers and staff, to understand their procurement needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on procurement activity, including savings achieved and procurement spend.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Qualifications: Studying towards or committed to obtaining a Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Professional qualification.
- Experience: Demonstrable procurement experience, including ability to produce tenders, quotations, and contract evaluations.
