ABOUT YOU

As a Laboratory Microbiologist, you will engage in hands-on laboratory work. This position encompasses microbiological assessments, assisting with laboratory outsourcing initiatives, proficient use of data management systems, and adherence to administrative protocols, all while maintaining a strong commitment to quality service delivery through ongoing enhancement.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in a laboratory environment and/or a degree in a pertinent scientific discipline

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will oversee the preparation, examination, documentation, and management of samples, including sorting, filing, and handling both electronic and physical records. Furthermore, you will participate in a diverse array of laboratory and administrative tasks to guarantee that effective and efficient technical support is provided.

Key Activities:

• Report directly to the laboratory supervisor
• Possess the experience and capability to execute advanced tasks such as subculturing, reading, and routine quality assurance in the primary laboratory, including weekly controls and troubleshooting.
• Ensure all daily checks and calibrations are conducted
• Deliver training as requested by supervisors
• Assist in investigations and calibrations as necessary
• Provide feedback and reports to management as required
