About the Role:
As a CNC Milling Machine Programmer, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and skilled team, engaged in the production of precision components. The role offers a diverse range of tasks that are both challenging and rewarding, with a strong emphasis on quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting, and operating 3-axis CNC Milling Machines, specifically HAAS or Hurco, in a low-volume, small batch production environment.
- Conducting self-inspections of components using manual measuring tools to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Developing programs, jigs, and fixtures for new components to enhance production efficiency.
- Optimizing the manufacturing process to ensure timely delivery of high-quality parts.
- Managing multiple machines when feasible based on component and batch sizes.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC Milling machinery, preferably with HAAS or Hurco.
- Background in a similar high-tech manufacturing environment, ideally with an apprenticeship.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in reading 1st and 3rd angle engineering drawings.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
- Experience working with mild metals.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in CNC machining.
- Willingness to assist in various areas of the production facility as needed.
- Experience with conventional milling or Bridgeport machines.
- Familiarity with programming software such as Edgecam.
- Experience in manual and/or CNC turning.
