Our client, a leading manufacturer of inorganic Lithium chemical products, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support their production facilities. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will provide high-quality electrical engineering services, perform day-to-day plant upkeep, and support new and existing pilot plant work.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, Chemical Engineers, and Senior Control Systems Engineer on new electrical/mechanical engineering developments and implementation.
- Lead preventative, reactive, and scheduled maintenance regimes of plant equipment and electrical maintenance across the site(s).
- Assist on new electrical/mechanical engineering projects, including design, fabrication, procurement, installation, commissioning, and debugging.
- Independently manage minor and medium-sized electrical/mechanical engineering projects as required and to budget.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of the production plant and equipment, including production process troubleshooting.
- Identify electrical/mechanical improvements with a strong focus on safety and execute electrical and mechanical improvement projects from start to finish.
- Review and implement risk assessments.
- Supervise contractors and other personnel on specific jobs and tasks.
- Report and action on Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality related faults, failures, and non-conformances.
- Hold a minimum Level 5 NVQ or higher in Electrical Installations and 18th edition qualified.
- Have at least 1-year electrical installations experience.
- Knowledge of Industrial process and controls (415/240V system, low voltage control circuits), PLC systems, and fault finding, and HV/LV distribution system.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of welding processes TiG & MiG and brazing.
- Knowledge of chiller units / Compressed air systems.
- Confined space trained.
- Forklift.
