About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team at The London Clinic. As a Senior Physiotherapist - Musculoskeletal Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and discharge of patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, specialising in complex spinal problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate, implement, evaluate, and deliver specialised individual physiotherapy treatment programmes based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options.
  • Undertake expert assessment of own clinical caseload, including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi-pathologies.
  • Identify and manage clinical risk within own patient caseload and monitor others.
  • Work multi-professionally with consultants, nurses, GPs, and other healthcare professionals and agencies.
  • Provide clinical leadership to the spinal service to drive service development and influence clinical practices to enhance quality, productivity, and value.
  • Deliver and implement pain groups as part of the multi-disciplinary management of patients with persistent pain using different cognitive behavioural frameworks.
  • Provide supervision, training, and support to students and band 6 physiotherapists.
Requirements
  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registered
  • MCSP
  • Evidence of CPD in managing patients with persistent pain.
  • Postgraduate study in ACT or CFT
  • Member of the Physiotherapy Pain Association (PPA)
Experience
  • Proven experience of working at senior level as a physiotherapist in musculoskeletal outpatients, with experience in all core areas.
  • Experience of managing patients with persistent pain.
  • Experience in line managing junior staff members.
  • Experience in leading quality improvement projects and/or audit.
  • Experience gained within the Private Hospital healthcare setting.
  • Experience in attending spinal MDT meetings.
  • Clinical Educator experience.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Able to demonstrate high levels of communications skills to coach, mediate, negotiate, present, and train.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • IT skills, including exercise prescription and diary system management, excel for data collections and analysis, and PowerPoint for workshops and IST.
  • Able to work within a busy outpatient department.
