About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Educational Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary team at Speech and Language UK's Bill Harrison Assessment Centre. As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing the educational needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's educational needs, using a range of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support children's learning and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech and language therapists, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support package for each child.
  • Provide training and support to school staff on strategies for supporting children with SEND.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to SEND.
Requirements
  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Educational Psychology or a related field.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Significant experience working with children with SEND, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
