Skilled Careers is collaborating with a prominent Main Contractor seeking a Lead Cost Estimator to join their team in Coventry and the surrounding regions.

Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will possess substantial experience with a main contractor, particularly on projects valued over £10 million. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to manage a project from inception to completion and contribute significantly to the company's expansion in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Lead Cost Estimator, you will be a vital member of the project team, overseeing all financial aspects. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing procurement processes and overseeing commercial management.
  • Finalizing accounts for commercial projects.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating financial and contractual risks.
  • Implementing company policies related to risk management.
  • Preparing and delivering monthly financial reports.
  • Providing commercial and contractual guidance to the project team.
  • Assessing and valuing work completed by subcontractors.


Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
  • Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a UK main contractor (Essential).
  • A strong background in commercial sectors is advantageous.
  • A proven history of working within a two-stage tender environment in the construction industry.
