About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our division of Planned Care, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise to our Community Mental Health Team, working with patients living in Hertfordshire.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide Medical Expertise and Clinical Leadership: You will provide diagnostic assessments and treatment to patients with severe, complex, and high-risk psychiatric conditions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team.
  2. Participate in Service and Business Planning: You will contribute to service and business planning activities for the locality and, as appropriate, for the whole mental health service, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards.
  3. Manage and Appraise Junior Medical Staff: You will manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff, ensuring that they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
  4. Ensure Quality and Safety: You will ensure that our services are delivered in a safe and effective manner, adhering to the Trust's policies and procedures.
