Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse to join our team at Nuffield Health North Staffs Hospital. As a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient assessment of patients prior to surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough and accurate pre-assessment of patients to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Provide high-quality patient education and support to promote informed decision-making and empowerment.
  • Work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely assessment of patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Registered with the appropriate governing body, including NMC.
  • Post-registration experience in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
