We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join our team at Venn Group.

Job Summary:

The Technical Architect will play a key role in designing and evaluating systems architectures, ensuring that they meet the business needs of our organisation. This includes infrastructure, storage repository creation, and system diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evaluate systems architectures to meet business needs
  • Responsible for the physical design of technical solutions and formulating plans to deliver those solutions
  • Work with the wider project team to effectively deliver solutions
  • Act as an IT Infrastructure knowledge expert for the organisation
  • Understand business and non-functional requirements and identify suitable architecture
  • Translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions
  • Own the design and present it to relevant governance bodies for review and approval
  • Mentor and support BAU support staff and project resources
  • Be the IT Infrastructure knowledge authority during defect triage and defect resolution
  • Own the IT Infrastructure vision and strategy with the Head of IT Operations
  • Provide guidance and oversight to minimise technical risk and business risk
  • Undertake detailed design reviews
  • Identify appropriate and cost-effective physical architectures
  • Develop a roadmap for technical assurance in line with the organisation's 5-year strategy

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Technical Architect
  • Previous track record with Azure
  • Experience of migrating from on prem to cloud
