Job Title: Academic Manager

We are seeking an experienced Academic Manager to join our team at the University of Central Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a new programme of outreach activity linked to academic development of secondary school and college students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the existing University's Scholars Programme and develop a new suite of activities and workshops that develop academic skills for Y10-13 students.
  • Design and deliver workshops in schools and colleges to help support students develop skills such as academic self-efficacy and revision techniques.
  • Line-manage outreach officers working on the Scholars and Academic Development programmes as well as developing and maintaining networks of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Visit schools and colleges across the North West, requiring a full clean driving license and the ability to drive to different locations.
Requirements:
  • Experience in academic development and outreach activity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
