Position Overview:


NYKays Ltd is looking for a committed and skilled SEN Support Assistant to join our specialized institution that focuses on children with intricate requirements, including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our knowledgeable teaching staff to deliver tailored assistance to our pupils, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with PMLD and ASD, modifying educational approaches to cater to unique needs
  • Support classroom activities, aiding educators in executing customized lesson plans
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and toileting
  • Apply behavioral techniques to encourage positive conduct and address challenging behaviors
  • Keep precise records of student progress and communicate with educators as needed
  • Engage in Safeguarding and Child Protection protocols, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 1 year experience working with students with PMLD and ASD

  • Availability for Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm schedule
  • Essential personal care experience
  • Understanding of Safeguarding practices and a dedication to maintaining a secure environment for students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to work effectively within a team
  • Openness to participating in professional development initiatives
