Job Summary

Able Bridge Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Tax Professional to join a prominent accountancy firm in Glasgow city centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing corporate and personal tax services to a portfolio of businesses, including small to medium enterprises and larger corporate businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and filing personal tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, including self-employed individuals and those with rental income.
  • Advising clients on tax-efficient structures for investments, pensions, and savings.
  • Dealing with HMRC enquiries and investigations related to individual tax returns.
  • Preparing and filing corporation tax returns for UK companies, including those with complex group structures.
  • Advising clients on corporate tax planning strategies, such as capital allowances, research and development tax relief, and group relief.
  • Dealing with HMRC enquiries and investigations related to corporate tax returns.

Requirements

  • CTA or ATT tax qualification or equivalent experience in tax (in an accounting firm in UK) for at least 5 years.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and a team.
  • Locally based or prepared to relocate to Glasgow/surrounding area.

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be expected to work on a blended working model, with 60% of their time spent in the office and 40% working from home. However, this may change, and the candidate may be expected to work more often in the office.
