About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals Careers is seeking a highly skilled Transport Planner to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient transport routes across multiple depots for a number of drivers and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement optimized transport routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with drivers and depot managers to ensure seamless operations and resolve any transport-related issues.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery performance, vehicle productivity, and accident rates to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work proactively to reduce missed time-slots and late deliveries, ensuring our customers receive their equipment on time.
  • Ensure 100% POD and POC compliance to ensure revenue collection and maintain accurate records.
  • Brief and debrief drivers to ensure they are aware of their schedules, routes, and any changes.

About You

We are looking for a skilled and organized individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will have a strong understanding of transport planning principles and experience working with transport management systems such as Paragon, Job Watch, or Rotec. A good understanding of the UK road network and commercial focus are also essential.
