Join Our Communications and Events Team at MINI Plant Oxford

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Communications and Events team at MINI Plant Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our internal and external communications, as well as helping to deliver our award-winning Plant Tours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Communications Manager in generating story ideas and content for presentations, events, and social media to engage and maintain a dialogue with our internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing plans for our Plant Tours, including creating and posting engaging content for our Instagram account.
  • Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of events, large and small, for various audiences, including employees, charity fundraisers, VIPs, and external visitors.
  • Contribute to the further development of our communications channels and Plant Tour offering to improve the overall visitor experience.
Requirements:
  • Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Business, Media, Communications, Marketing, Events Management, English, Social Sciences, or another related field, with a strong academic record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated passion for engaging with and building relationships with people.
  • Flexibility with working hours and potential travel to other BMW Group sites in the UK to support various projects and events.
  • Awareness and interest in current affairs, with an eye for what makes an attractive potential story.
  • Basic photography and photo editing skills, with further digital media skills such as graphic design, film, and other forms of media enhancing your application.
  • Ambition to comfortably use and learn about a range of IT software and content management systems.
  • Resilience with excellent organization skills and a 'hands-on', proactive approach.

  • A competitive annual salary of £23,650, 26 days holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract), and an attractive pension scheme.
  • A rewarding work-life balance, with contracted working hours of 37 hours a week, including a half-day on a Friday.
