About the Role:

Fenwick Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team and provide exceptional care to our clients. As a Clinical Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients, particularly those with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage seizures, particularly in clients with a history of status epilepticus, administering and managing various medications.
  • Skilled in manual handling and hoisting techniques, especially for clients with 4 Limb Dystonic Cerebral Palsy.
  • Experience in managing dysphagia and complex feeding protocols.
  • Understanding of epilepsy care, particularly for clients with a history of status epilepticus.
  • Support clients with cortical visual impairment or those who are registered blind.

Personal Qualities:

  • The ability to understand and support our client's needs with compassion and patience, particularly considering her complex communication difficulties.
  • A genuine interest in activities our client enjoys, such as dancing, socialising, and going to the gym, as well as a love for pink and girly things.
  • A driver with the capability to drive a mobility vehicle.

Logistical Requirements:

  • A female HCA is required due to the personal care needs of the client.
  • Local to Lewes to ensure reliable and consistent care.
  • Availability to cover shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, working on a 2:1 care package.
