Principal Vehicle Artist

Lighthouse Games, a renowned AAA studio, is seeking a talented and experienced Principal Vehicle Artist to shape the visual quality and artistic direction of our projects.

This role involves leading a team of Vehicle Artists in feature development and collaborating with other departments to create industry-leading vehicle content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of new vehicle features and ensure they meet technical and artistic requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to establish and execute the artistic direction of our projects.
  • Pursue innovative techniques to achieve exceptional visual fidelity and realism in vehicle modeling.
  • Mentor and guide junior artists to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Contribute to the research and development of new processes and techniques to drive forward the artistic vision of our projects.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in vehicle modeling and texturing.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Maya, 3ds Max, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) techniques.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Track record of successfully leading a team.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in the gaming industry.
  • Knowledge of game development pipelines and workflows.
  • Expertise in substance designer and other texture authoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle design principles and industry trends.
