About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Student Support. As a key member of our pastoral care team, you will play a vital role in fostering a caring and supportive learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality pastoral support to students, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote student welfare and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to student support.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of student support initiatives, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- 5 A*-Cs at GCSE, including English and Maths.
- Experience of working with young people in an education setting.
- Experience of providing pastoral support within an education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
