Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our products. This position is integral to our operations, focusing on the inspection and verification of components throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Component Inspection:** Conduct thorough inspections of components at various stages of production, including final assessments to ensure compliance with specifications.
2. **Collaboration:** Work closely with the Quality Assurance team and management to address any unusual quality control issues that may arise.
3. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of traceability details to support Quality Assurance documentation and compliance requirements.
4. **Problem Solving:** Utilize effective problem-solving techniques to assist in root cause analysis and investigations related to quality issues.
5. **Safety and Standards:** Uphold a safe working environment and adhere to high standards of housekeeping and quality system regulations.

Inspection Techniques:

Utilize a variety of inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges, to verify dimensions and processes against manufacturing drawings and specifications.

Collaboration with Teams:

Engage with Quality Control Inspectors, Project Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with process documentation during all manufacturing and inspection activities.

In-Process Inspections:

Ensure that in-process inspections are conducted according to engineering specifications throughout the production cycle.

Additional Skills:

- Proficient in mechanical, visual, and dimensional inspections using hand tools.
- Experience with CMM programming and inspection is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Supply Quality Assurance Engineers regarding quality concerns.
- Competence in managing inventory transactions within the warehouse system.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection is preferred.
- Educational background in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with industry-standard computer applications, including Microsoft and MRP systems.
