About the Role: Thrive Group is excited to present an opportunity for a dedicated individual to become a vital part of our client's operations in the storage and distribution sector. We are seeking a diligent Facilities Operative to contribute to the smooth running of the facility on a permanent basis.
Working Hours: This position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 08:00 to 16:00.
Compensation: The starting salary for this role is £24,375 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairs, basic decoration, and like-for-like electrical changes.
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as per a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.
- Operate forklifts (full training will be provided).
- Maintain cleanliness in storage areas and main pathways, utilizing a ride-on sweeper.
- Collect and process cardboard and plastic waste for recycling purposes.
- Assemble and dismantle office furniture as needed.
- Set up and take down racking storage systems.
- Collaborate with team members on various ad-hoc projects and tasks.
- Assist specialist contractors when required.
Candidate Profile:
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing the required duties.
- Exhibit a proactive mindset with a positive attitude.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks.
- Ability to effectively respond to unexpected incidents.
- A valid driving license is essential.
