Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Operations team at Princes Limited. As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and associated costs.
  • Carry out fault finding and troubleshooting on a diverse range of automated equipment.
  • Implement and support planned preventative maintenance schemes to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Complete maintenance schedules and engage in operational improvements to enhance production efficiency.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and activities to challenge existing practices and recommend improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with relevant departments on maintenance progress and equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance in the engineering CMMS system.
  • Monitor equipment efficiency and identify problem areas to proactively implement improvements.
  • Manage engineering spares store records and collaborate with the site engineering stores team to optimize stock levels.
  • Ensure all work areas are maintained to 5S standards and that production equipment is properly adjusted and calibrated.
  • Review daily achievement of targets and report variances to ensure optimal production efficiency.
  • Resolve operational problems on the production lines, including fault diagnosis and first-line repairs.
  • Carry out effective handovers by communicating key information to colleagues.
  • Perform new or additional tasks, projects, trials, and other reasonable duties in conjunction with colleagues in your area of work.
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience in using CMMS systems, such as SAP.
