Job Title: KDB Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled KDB Developer to join our team in London. As a KDB Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our core data platform, working closely with our engineering team to design and implement new features and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new features and services for our core data platform
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and maintain high-quality software
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Contribute to the development of our data platform, including data pipelines, storage, and analytics
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that our codebase is maintainable, efficient, and scalable
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a relevant engineering, statistical, or financial role
  • Significant experience working with Kdb/q, including detailed knowledge of Kdb architecture and experience writing analytics in Kdb
  • Knowledge of capital markets, preferably in eTrading, and experience working with market data
  • Experience in framework, library, and API design
  • Experience working with quant and front office teams
  • Understanding of test-driven development, tools, and practices
  • Experience in requirements analysis and design patterns and soft engineering best practices
  • Practitioner of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and delivery tools and practices
Desirable Skills
  • Programming experience in either Java or Python
  • Linux and shell-scripting experience
  • DevOp tools and techniques
  • Appreciation of DevOps and SRE practices
  • Familiar with messaging protocols, such as GRPC
  • Experience working with containers, orchestration tools (docker, podman, Kubernetes)
