Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multiskilled Engineer to join our client's team in Sedgefield. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and a proven track record of working in a fast-paced FMCG/Manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance plan
  • Attend and repair breakdowns as required, and report all actions carried out and any further actions required
  • Experience in PLC Control systems, and PLC fault finding experience in servo drivers and RS Networks (including Ethernet, Device Net communications) would be beneficial
  • Report in a comprehensive manner, all work activities carried out on a daily/shift basis
  • Be proactive in preventing equipment failures and improving overall equipment performance by generating and implementing ideas and modifications
  • Provide a service that meets agreed service levels, including minimising downtime and communicating effectively with relevant personnel
  • Provide a service that meets industry standards, whilst maintaining standards of housekeeping and personal hygiene
  • Maintain and help improve health and safety standards and ensure that staff work in a safe environment by eliminating, minimising, and controlling risks to themselves and others
Requirements:
  • Time served Multiskilled Engineer with direct FMCG/Manufacturing experience
  • Advanced level of skill and understanding within the role
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £40-43k per annum
  • A 12hr shift pattern, 3 on 3 off, Days/Nights
  • A permanent role with an immediate start for the right candidate
