Commercial Technology and Data Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Technology and Data Lawyer to join our team at Cathedral Appointments | South West Recruitment.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading client base across the globe, handling high-profile, business-critical projects and regulatory matters. You will be working closely with entrepreneurial start-ups and joint ventures, vertically integrated utilities, financial institutions, governments, and worldwide energy giants.

Key Responsibilities:- Representing an impressive array of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 clients, public sector organisations, educational institutions, and industry bodies
- Handling high-profile, business-critical projects and regulatory matters
- Providing expert advice on complex and high-profile technology transactions, digital transformation projects, data protection, cyber security, and emerging technologies like generative AI
- Collaborating with developers and suppliers of innovative products and services
- Assisting businesses in adopting and implementing digital technologies to boost productivity and competitiveness across various sectors
- Offering guidance on contract strategy, data protection, regulatory matters, and risk management
We are looking for a lawyer with over four years of post-qualification experience in digital, technology, and/or data protection, gained at a City or large regional firm, or in-house.
The ideal candidate must have at least four years of experience as a qualified solicitor in the UK (England, Wales, or Scotland) within the digital technology sector.
They should have demonstrated expertise in a commercial environment, particularly in digital/tech and data protection, with a focus on complex and high-profile transactions.
