About the Role

Barker Associates is a leading property consultancy and trusted advisor, offering a range of services including architecture, project management, quantity surveying, engineering, and building surveying. We are seeking a Senior Civil Technician to join our team and contribute to our diverse portfolio of projects across the UK.

This role will be based at our Head Office in Braintree, with hybrid working arrangements once your induction is complete. As a Senior Civil Technician, you will work on a range of civil engineering projects, preparing calculations and technical design information to deliver innovative civil engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare preliminary civil engineering schemes for review by Line Manager
  • Produce detailed technical designs using AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Hydraulic Modelling
  • Review more detailed technical submissions and RFIs from sub-contractors
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant degree or apprenticeship and a minimum of 5 years' working experience in civil engineering. You will also need a full clean driving licence and be subject to a DBS Enhanced check.
