Job Title: Research Associate in AI for Electronics Testing

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the University of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of researchers and the APRIL operations team to develop novel AI capabilities, tools, and methodologies that can enhance the productivity of engineers in designing, developing, and testing advanced electronic devices and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and introduce AI tools in electronics testing and verification for predicting what to test and when.
  • Work closely with world-leading experts across AI and electronics to ensure relevance of research in addressing state-of-art challenges in electronics.
  • Engage with industrial partners to ensure the practical application of research findings.
  • Contribute to the development of novel AI capabilities, tools, and methodologies that can enhance the productivity of engineers.

Requirements:

  • A 1st class undergraduate degree and a PhD in Electronics or AI, or a clearly related area, with a proven contact with Electronics Testing and Verification.
  • Experience in AI tools for Electronics Testing & Verification automation and with Electronics Testing and instrumentation.
  • A track record of research in AI, with a specific focus on Electronics Testing and Verification or a closely related area.
  • Ability to be adaptive and accepting of new ideas and a willingness to approach new challenges and adjusts plans to meet new priorities.
