In the role of Electrical Technician, you will be part of the Property Services team, delivering a responsive and professional electrical service to our residents. Your work will ensure that all internal and external job sites are properly safeguarded and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute tasks including rewiring, remedial work, installation of smoke alarms, testing and inspections, as well as routine repair and maintenance.
- Participate in the out-of-hours service on a rotational basis to address electrical issues promptly.
- Serve as a point of contact between residents and internal teams to ensure that property-related concerns are identified and resolved efficiently.
- Promote and uphold the highest standards of duty, care, and safety in all work environments to minimize risks to employees, properties, and residents.
- Carry out necessary repairs to maintain safety, security, and optimal working conditions across properties, including vehicles and tools, in line with current policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience working in residential settings.
- Possession of an 18th Edition qualification.
- City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Electrical Installation certification.
- Certification in Electrical Inspection & Testing.
- Ability to work in compliance with NICEIC standards.
- Experience in the Social Housing sector is desirable.
