We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in mitigating commercial and financial risks on projects, working closely with project teams to evaluate, maintain, and forecast accurate cost and value for designated elements of projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and assist in negotiating acceptable terms and conditions on enquiries to minimize contract risk and ensure favourable payment terms, minimum bonding, and warranty requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, process, and agree variations with clients and subcontractors.
- Compile and process applications for payment with clients and subcontractors.
- Financial awareness of project costs and forecasting of costs through to completion, assisting and monitoring the contract review process.
- Represent the company at relevant meetings and discussions, internal and external.
- Assist the Project Team to ensure projects achieve budgeted margins and manage project cash flow.
- Ensure the Project Team realizes all opportunities for contract growth through the exploitation of possible new scopes of work.
- Ensure and maximize contract growth through the efficient cost management of the project and the variation to order process.
- Ensure adherence to Company Policy and procedures, administering contractual correspondence with clients and subcontractors.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
- Identify cost trends, potential savings, and commercial opportunities.
- Ensure variations are administered in line with the contract.
- Attend Bid Approval meetings at the pre-tender stage.
- Candidates will hold a Degree.
- Hold a minimum of 5 years' experience, within the offshore/construction industry.
- Strong affinity with both technical and commercial aspects.
- Contract/Legal knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
- Prepared to travel (if necessary).
- Ability to switch between detailed reviews and strategic thinking.
