About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their parcels on time and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver parcels to customers across the assigned area, using route-planning technology tools to ensure efficient and effective delivery
  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting with customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Work independently, using initiative and problem-solving skills to resolve any issues that may arise during delivery
  • Prep your van and workload for the day, ensuring you are ready to hit the road and deliver parcels to our customers

What We Offer

We offer a competitive monthly salary, equivalent to an hourly rate of £12.54p/hr, as well as overtime paid at 1.25 x the normal hourly rate. You will also receive 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (pro-rata), and full uniform provided. About You

We are looking for someone who is upbeat, self-motivated, and thrives while working independently. You should be organised, punctual, and have great initiative, with a commitment to delivering great customer service. You will also need to be comfortable interacting with customers, acting as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail, and happy to work in the afternoon and early evenings.

Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
