Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEN Focus

Location: Southampton

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for permanent opportunities)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in secondary schools across Southampton. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, implementing personalized learning plans and adapting materials to suit the needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting SEN students in both one-on-one and small group settings
  • Assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Implementing personalized learning plans and adapting materials to suit the needs of students
  • Providing pastoral care and emotional support to students with additional needs
  • Collaborating with the SENCO and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for SEN students

Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject (essential)
