Compensation:
Salary: £(Apply online only). Candidates must possess expertise in fabrication and production planning to qualify for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all factory personnel to ensure they are effectively motivated, trained, and fulfill their duties to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate all facets of production operations to meet output and quality delivery objectives.
- Formulate and implement necessary policies and procedures to guarantee that machinery and equipment are well-maintained for optimal production efficiency.
- Engage daily with the Director regarding production and business operations, providing support as needed.
- Manage the annual ISO9001 audit concerning documentation, calibration, and PAT testing of equipment.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Oversee and instruct on overtime requirements weekly based on production needs.
- Address all aspects of employee disciplinary actions.
- Ensure quality standards are upheld across all products.
- Conduct daily morning meetings and prepare detailed production reports.
Essential Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management within an engineering production setting.
- Able to cultivate effective working relationships with all team members.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety standards within an engineering context.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Experience in interpreting and understanding engineering schematics.
- Ability to identify opportunities for enhancements, future investments, and methods to streamline production for improved efficiency and quality, while reducing turnaround times.
- Experience in an ISO9001 environment, maintaining high standards and quality of documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Background in fabrication and/or machining shop environments.
- Engineering experience.
