Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the network architecture team and vendors to understand automation requirements
  • Architect and drive the automation framework forward, ensuring compliance with network and security policies
  • Automate network provisioning and deployment using zero-touch provisioning and bootstrapping techniques
  • Model data structures and relationships, as well as actors and interfaces
  • Understand current tooling and platforms, and identify opportunities for adoption
  • Internal project marketing and promotion of automation and mindset
  • Define Single Source of Truth (SSoT), secret management solution, and Git workflow
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of network automation and testing tooling, including Nornir, NAPALM, Batfish, and Netbox
  • Proven history of dynamically verifying network state compliance with known state and updating as deployments occur
  • Good understanding of secure development practices
  • Excellent Object-Oriented Programming skills in Python and potentially GO
  • Strong understanding of Git and Git workflows, as well as CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and state-based automation, such as Terraform
  • Previous experience automating a highly scalable network
  • Demonstrable examples of previous automation work
