Job Title: Reactive Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Reactive Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Devizes plant.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient repair breakdown service and carrying out routine preventative maintenance. This is a challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe and adhere to company health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs as required by the engineering team and/or shift manager.
  • Identify early fault detection and quality defect systems, and maintain their effectiveness through zonal ownership.
  • Complete tasks as set by the matrix manager, including proactive and reactive lead roles.
  • Support and guide the mechanical technical team to develop their engineering skills.
  • Action any problems with production machines that may affect production or make the machine unsafe to work.
  • Support the development of autonomous maintenance by upskilling operators' knowledge and know-how.
  • Efficiently carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to company standards.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement of processes and machines.
  • Own project themes as determined by the engineering manager/leadership group.
  • Minimise waste by adopting lean principles and maintain a clean and tidy work ethic.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with Ball requirements.
  • To adhere to ISO/BRC requirements.
