Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Major Recruitment. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the process engineering function, supporting plant operations and products. This will include Front End Engineering Design and Process Engineering Design studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Engineering Leadership: Oversee the process engineering function, supporting plant operations and products.
- Documentation and Support: Prepare relevant process engineering documents for FEED studies, such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, commissioning procedures, equipment specifications, data sheets, and calculations.
- EHS Compliance: Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, policies, and principles.
- Project Planning and Management: Manage the installation and commissioning of new or modified plants, ensuring cost, time, and quality targets are met.
- Capital Projects: Lead the conceptual phase of capital projects, developing strategies to expand and provide capacity to suit business requirements.
- Safety and Risk Management: Assist in HAZOPs, LOPAs, design reviews, and risk assessments. Implement recommendations, following best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead CI activities, supporting manufacturing troubleshooting and optimizing processes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering: A degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
- Chartered Chemical Engineer/IChemE: Chartered Chemical Engineer/IChemE is desirable but not essential.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a COMAH site is required.
- Dynamic Personality: A dynamic personality with an entrepreneurial spirit to identify improvement opportunities is required.
- Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of DSEAR, CDM, COMAH is required.
- Project Management Skills: Skilled in Project Management is required.
- Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously is required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels is required.
- Problem Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills are required.
