Job Title: Assistant/Graduate Project Manager

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant/Graduate Project Manager to join our team at Orbit Group. As a key member of our Customer & Communities department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality investment programmes that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage specialist contractors delivering component work packages within our planned investment programmes, ensuring high standards of quality, value for money, and completion within agreed timescales.
  2. Prepare and issue accurate data to Project Managers for financial monitoring, forecasts, business planning, and other necessary information to inform performance decisions and actions.
  3. Conduct and/or manage recorded quality audits, including sampling of works during and after completion.
  4. Carry out thorough surveys to support the specification and accurate quantification of component programmes, ensuring decisions are properly documented to evidence best practice.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers regarding works that impact their home, living environment, and quality of life, representing Orbit Housing Association at customer meetings when required.
  6. Support the Project Manager in assessing progress on projects, taking corrective action as needed to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and quality-standard delivery.
Requirements:
  1. Project Management experience, including investment works with customers in their own homes.
  2. Knowledge and experience of general professional disciplines, including programming, quantity surveying, contract management, and design.
  3. Able to travel to meet the requirements of the role.
  4. Willing and able to participate in the out-of-hours emergency duty rota.
