Position Overview

The City Recruiter is seeking a qualified attorney to become a vital part of our client's Employers Liability division. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of formal qualifications or equivalent experience, with a strong emphasis on determination, capability, and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal caseload of primarily fast-track employer's liability claims, both pre and post-issue.
  • Demonstrate a solid billing history in handling litigated cases.
  • Exhibit genuine tenacity and a commitment to advancing cases through litigation to secure optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Effectively handle fast-track employer liability cases, ensuring familiarity with the portal system.
  • Utilize knowledge of civil procedure rules, litigation trends, and precedents to achieve favorable results.
  • Showcase experience in managing litigated files from inception through to trial or disposal hearings.
  • Familiarity with Proclaim case management software is preferred.
  • Display a willingness to tackle challenging cases, prioritizing client outcomes over easier options.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary up to £55,000, commensurate with experience, alongside a generous commission structure paid monthly.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible arrangements available.
  • Opportunity for a hybrid working model after the probation period.
  • Annual leave starting at 23 days, increasing to 26 days with tenure.
  • Participation in fee earner meetings and training sessions every other month.
  • Death in Service benefit equivalent to 2 times the salary.
