Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Refinisher to join our team at Steer Automotive Group in High Wycombe. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their original condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including masking, sanding, and priming.
- Accurately mix paint colours to match the original vehicle using advanced colour-matching techniques.
- Apply paint to vehicles using spray guns, ensuring an even, flawless finish.
- Perform minor bodywork repairs as needed before painting.
- Inspect and polish finished paintwork to achieve a high-quality, factory-standard finish.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Refinisher in the automotive repair industry.
- Extensive knowledge of paint application processes and techniques.
- Strong ability to mix and match colours accurately.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations related to painting and refinishing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in automotive painting or refinishing (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
