About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient Therapy Team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload and providing rehabilitation and enabling patients to meet their agreed goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs, providing rehabilitation and enabling them to meet their agreed goals.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement treatment interventions, prescribe equipment, and develop discharge plans.
- Develop and maintain a high standard of clinical practice, adhering to the Code of Professional Conduct of the College of Occupational Therapists.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, therapy practitioners, and rehabilitation support workers to jointly manage workload, delegate tasks, and oversee clinical practice.
- Participate in regular professional supervision to review and reflect on practice, and provide clinical supervision to other team members as agreed with the Therapy Lead.
