Job Overview

This is a temporary position with a local authority.

Position Summary:

The Parks team is seeking dedicated personnel to assist in maintaining the high standards expected by our visitors. We are in search of motivated and enthusiastic individuals.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

· Previous experience in landscape maintenance is preferred.

· Basic plant knowledge is advantageous.

· Understanding of Health & Safety regulations is crucial.

· Ability to comprehend and follow clear instructions is essential.

· Capability to work in varying weather conditions is required.

· Physical stamina to perform tasks independently is necessary.

· Experience in customer service or public interaction is a plus.

· Ability to collaborate within a team or work independently is essential.

· A driving license for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (such as a transit tipper) is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information:

For candidates under 25, the pay rate will align with the National Minimum Wage. Successful candidates will have their rate adjusted to the London Living Wage after completing 8 consecutive weeks of work.

Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in landscape maintenance is preferred. Basic plant knowledge is advantageous. Understanding of Health & Safety regulations is crucial. Ability to comprehend and follow clear instructions is essential. Capability to work in varying weather conditions is required.
