About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Service Engineer to join our team at Bowdon Associates Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and repair on a wide range of industrial cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and Repair: Maintain a high standard of service and repair on all cleaning equipment, ensuring a world-class service experience for our customers.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with our Regional Service Manager to ensure seamless operations and effective issue resolution.
  • Documentation: Complete documentation of work orders promptly on our Oneview FS365 system, ensuring accurate records are created and maintained.
  • Stock Management: Control van stocks in accordance with customer base, ensuring a 5% difference is adhered to during all stock takes.
  • Customer Relationships: Promote healthy relationships with customers and the One Professional Team, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment to a satisfactory and safe condition, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Participate in on-job coaching with our Regional Manager, ensuring personal development plans are relevant and effective.
  • Additional Duties: Elevate duties in the absence of the Regional Manager, if required, and attend reactive weekend on-call work orders (as needed).
Requirements
  • Qualifications: 3 GCSEs at Grade 4, or equivalent, including English and Maths, and formal mechanical/electrical qualifications.
  • Experience: Proven experience in the service and/or cleaning industry, or willingness to fast-track through training.
  • Skills: Fantastic communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to improvise and be conversant with customers.
  • Knowledge: Experience with electronics, batteries, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and diesel engines, and familiarity with Municipal Cleaning Equipment, Fork trucks, HGV, Plant Hire, Horticultural, and Agricultural Machinery.
  • Certifications: Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel and stay overnight, if required.
