Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to collaborate closely with the Managing Director in overseeing both clinical and administrative operations at Express Diagnostics. This role is pivotal in guiding the organization towards fulfilling contractual commitments while providing strategic leadership to the management teams across various service areas, including clinical services, remote ECG services, and direct-to-patient offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong drive to enhance operational services and will be accountable for achieving the company's operational goals.

They will be equipped with exceptional communication skills necessary for leading diverse teams to meet business objectives. The role involves managing personnel across both clinical and administrative domains, ensuring adherence to the company's stringent quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as a vital member of the senior management team.

Job Duties

  1. Collaborate with the Managing Director and Commercial Director to implement strategic, operational, and developmental initiatives.
  2. Drive organizational outcomes to meet contractual obligations, financial targets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  3. Oversee the efficient and timely delivery of Express Diagnostics' portfolio of NHS contracts and private services from a non-clinical perspective in partnership with the finance team.
  4. Report to the Managing Director on overall service performance and delivery, ensuring alignment with company objectives within a multidisciplinary environment.
  5. Manage clinical workforce planning to optimize the use of clinical facilities and practitioner time, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations for timely health service delivery.
  6. Work with the Managing Director and Commercial Director to identify new opportunities and facilitate communication with relevant contracting authorities and NHS bodies.
  7. Collaborate with the Shared Services Manager and administrative team to ensure smooth clinic operations during clinician absences.
  8. Partner with the Quality Manager to coordinate risk management strategies, policy implementation, and clinical governance plans to meet audit guidelines and legislative standards.
  9. Conduct site visits to ensure workplace safety and compliance with organizational standards.
  10. Act as a supportive team member within the Senior Management Team, taking on additional responsibilities during peak periods.
  11. Address service-user and stakeholder complaints in collaboration with the Quality Manager, utilizing feedback to drive continuous improvement across services.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience in enhancing Management Information Systems and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Higher level education.

Desirable:

  • Management Certificate.
  • Prince 2 certification.
