Care Concern Group is seeking a skilled Peripatetic Maintenance Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will cover 9 care homes across the Glasgow region.
We're looking for a talented Painter and Decorator to bring colour and creativity to our care homes, ensuring every room reflects a warm and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate projects to accurately assess the size and scope of areas to be painted, ensuring a well-prepared workspace.
- Set up and maintain a safe working environment, including scaffold towers, work platforms, and stepladders.
- Prepare work areas by protecting surfaces that don't require painting and carefully preparing surfaces for painting.
- Apply interior and exterior paints using brushes, rollers, and other tools, delivering a flawless finish.
- Apply coatings, coverings, and claddings on external walls to protect and beautify the building.
- Inspect painted surfaces meticulously, rectifying any flaws or defects to ensure a perfect result.
- SVQ in Painting and Decorating: A solid foundation in painting and decorating techniques.
- Proven track record of successful work history, demonstrating skills and reliability.
- Ability to work independently, managing tasks with precision and care.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and understand care home needs.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £13, 40 hours per week, and travel expenses paid. You'll also receive company pension and 5.6 weeks annual leave, plus onsite parking.
