About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our team as a Community Paediatrician Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to children with a range of medical conditions, including child development, ASD, ADHD, neurodisability, and special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of medical education and training programs for junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care.
Requirements
  • Full valid registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (or equivalent) or Diploma in Child Health.
  • Ability to work at Consultant level in Community Child Health.
  • Proven experience in clinical audit and quality improvement.
  • Level 2 Child Protection Training.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and clinical supervision of juniors.
Desirable
  • CCT or equivalent in subspeciality of Community Child Health.
  • Previous participation in a management role.
  • Evidence of completion of full audit cycle and implementation of changes to practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to take on a leadership role.
