Position Overview: Our esteemed client, a prominent entity in the engineering sector, is seeking a Senior Electrical Services Engineer to manage electrical service contracts and oversee the transition of capital projects.


About the Company: This role is situated within the Facilities Division of a well-established multi-site organization, with whom we have maintained a strong partnership for over two decades.


Role Details: This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary range of £47,000 - £54,395 per annum, complemented by an attractive benefits package, including a 19% pension contribution and 35 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.


Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will possess a solid background in Facilities Management or Building Services, with comprehensive electrical engineering expertise (preferably degree-qualified). Experience in the handover of capital projects, contractor oversight, and management of electrical service contracts/SLAs is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the head of the department in the strategic and operational maintenance of sites, including conducting surveys, project management, and updating electrical systems design guides and standard requirement documents.
  • Ensure that electrical records, reports, design, and installation specifications are maintained in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Oversee reactive works while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Electrical Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and organize Safe Systems of Work/Permits to Work.
  • Supervise the management of on-site equipment, including fire alarms, access control systems, emergency lighting, HV/LV equipment, and communication systems.
  • Identify risk areas and implement monitoring strategies to enhance the performance of the electrical department.


Qualifications: Candidates should hold a Chartered Engineer status or a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.


Desirable Certifications:

  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification is considered advantageous.
