Material Handler II Position at Advanced Energy

As a vital part of our supply chain team, the selected candidate will be responsible for the effective management of incoming materials. This role encompasses a variety of tasks including the movement, identification, retrieval, and inventory counting of goods, along with executing necessary software operations. Ensuring precise inventory management and addressing material requests from different departments will also be key responsibilities.

This position requires working in a dynamic manufacturing setting that may present high noise levels. Given the nature of the materials handled, safety precautions must be observed due to potential high voltage and current scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both physical and administrative duties associated with the storage and distribution of materials
  • Inspect, stock, and prepare materials for inventory and production lines
  • Assemble kitting packages for production, repair, and sales orders
  • Conduct daily inventory counts and assist in resolving any discrepancies
  • Maintain security and accountability of materials through effective inventory control
  • Communicate efficiently with planners, buyers, and other stakeholders
  • Respond promptly to material requests and inquiries
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as required

Required Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Capability to adapt to evolving requirements
  • Precision in inventory counting
  • Proficient in PC applications, with a willingness to learn new software
  • Collaborative team player focused on meeting internal customer needs
  • Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) practices

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in goods receiving
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience in transporting materials via truck, with a clean driving record
