UPS Service & Maintenance Engineer Role: UPS Service & Maintenance Engineer

Hours: Full time

Salary: £40K + Overtime

Job Summary:
As a UPS Service & Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out commissioning, servicing, and periodic maintenance on uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and associated battery solutions. You will also conduct site visits for service and maintenance of UPS systems, diagnose faults, and perform repairs on various types of UPS, batteries, switchgear, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Commissioning of UPS and battery systems and associated switchgear equipment
• Conducting battery testing using up-to-date testers and Flir equipment
• Supporting the business SLA requirements for breakdown response times
• Providing technical support and assistance to internal departments and customers
• Completing service visit reports and ensuring full recommendations for remedial actions are included
• Updating the company CRM system
• Participating in the company on-call rota
• Following safety regulations and PPE control requirements
• Completing dynamic on-site risk assessments
• Attending manufacturer training to improve and develop knowledge and skill set

Requirements:
• Relevant Electronic Qualification
• Electrical qualification and hands-on experience
• 5 years working as a field engineer on UPS systems
• Experience of power electronics
• Clean Full UK driving license
• Experience in all Microsoft office applications
• Proficient in the use of IT for report writing and UPS system interrogation
